Jonathan and Jennifer Dillon are Native North Carolinians who have studied, worked, and now are raising a family here. There are few places on Earth as conducive to creating beautiful landscapes as our great State. Our climate in this state allows us to plant year-round with incredible results.
As Jonathan was growing up, he spent summers on his grandfather's farm in Rockingham County. There, he developed a passion for plants and the outdoors. His grandmother operated a small greenhouse where he would help her divide and propagate perennials and annuals and create hanging baskets. His grandfather taught him his first and most substantial lessons in the fields about plant and weed identification, roots, soil, sun, and seasons . It was there that his passion for creation and working with plants began to flourish.
His father, Loyd Dillon, is a CQRID Certified Professional Interior Designer, a Fellow of the Interior Design Society, Past President of IDS, past professor of Interior Design at Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina and is now teaching Interior Design at Central Piedmont Community College. Paying close attention to his fathers knowledge, talent and skill, Jonathan gained a strong appreciation for good design fundamentals at an early age while developing his own eye for detail. With good design fundamentals and an eye for detail in place, he married his knowledge to his passion and skills for the outdoors. A landscape designer/installer was forming.
Jonathan’s passion led him to his career in the Garden Center/Landscape Industry. For more than 12 years, he has installed and cared for native and exotic plants, created award winning designs and brought them to fruition.
